The celebrations for Trauttmansdorff’s tenth birthday will kick off on June 16th, 2011 with the opening of a new attraction that is destined to become a favourite: "The Botanical Underworld".

 
This adventure trail, dug 200 meters into the mountainside, will lead visitors into a mysterious underground kingdom. Whatever sprouts, grows green, or blooms above ground has roots under the soil, and is no less active there even though it happens unseen by man.

Visitors pass through a number of caves, each focusing on a specific theme—water, soil, nutrients, roots, and light. Each theme is explored using unique multimedia elements.
