The Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle cordially invite professional and amateur photographers to take part in the “International Garden Photographer of the Year” photography competition. The most beautiful photo of the Gardens will win the “Spirit of Trauttmansdorff” award.
This year, the "International Garden Photographer of the Year" contest is taking place for the 13th time and, for the third time, the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle are participating under their own category. All ardent photographers, professional and amateur, can submit their entries and have a chance to win the "Spirit of Trauttmansdorff" award. All photographs taken in the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle will be accepted. The three best photographers will be presented in February 2019, and their photos will be exhibited at the Kew Royal Botanic Gardens in England. The winning entries will also be published in the IGPOTY photo book.
The International Garden Photographer of the Year competition (IGPOTY) is the world's most important garden photography competition. It is organised by renowned English company Garden World Images, previously known as the Harry Smith Collection, which dates back to the 1950s and is one of the oldest botanical photo libraries. Every year, the winning photos of the contest are exhibited at Kew Gardens in England and other European gardens.
