The 2013 season at the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle draws to a close - 01.01.70

Today the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle closes its doors on the year 2013. A successful and intense garden year thus draws to a close. With this news, the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle team would like to heartily thank all of its visitors. By touring the gardens, they have all contributed to Trauttmansdorff’s role as one of the most important driving forces behind tourism in Merano (Meran) and South Tyrol. Despite the uncertain economy, visitors remained faithful to the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle this garden season: nearly 400,000 people walked across the entrance bridge in a period of just 7.5 months.

Trauttmansdorff also impressed the international jury of the well-known Garden Tourism Conference, based in Canada: it has, in fact, given the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle the International Garden of the Year 2013 award, an honor coveted all over the globe. The jury cited Trauttmansdorff’s extraordinary quality, its beauty and its diversity as winning factors.

The Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle – a unique blend of nature, culture and art – did in fact trimuph with guests from all over the world during the 2013 garden season. Diverse guided tours, the unique South Tyrol Experience Packages and numerous event highlights: these are some of the things that make Trauttmansdorff such a special multi-sensory experience for people of all ages.
