On Friday, 9th April the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle have opened their doors to Spring. In this new season, the Gardens are celebrating their 20th anniversary. Inaugurated in 2001, after 7 years of construction, today they are, together with the Touriseum, a veritable attraction under the name "Trauttmansdorff", visited every year by hundreds of thousands of guests.

In 2021, the Gardens won’t just be celebrating their 20th anniversary, however, but – just like in the previous year – they will be dedicating the season to Biodiversity. Information panels, art installations and photographs located throughout the Gardens will provide visitors with the chance to learn more about biodiversity. As they walk through the various botanical areas, they will learn what they can do on a more personal scale to help preserve biodiversity and why it is so important for mankind, for animals and for plants.

In compliance with provincial indications, the Touriseum will open its doors a little later, to engage its visitors with the story of 250 years of tourism, and in 2021 it will showcase the exhibition “Bags, trolleys and suitcases. A journey through the history of luggage
