Get to know the famous tourism pioneer Theodor Christomannos.
“Hello! Are you also travelling to the opening ceremony? I’m waiting for the gentlemen of the press who are sure to be attending such an event. After all, it’s not every day we see the opening of a hotel of this calibre, one where travellers can find every amenity against such a spectacular backdrop. The Hotel Sulden and the road down to the valley are just the beginning. I also have some other projects in mind that will finally open up the most remote valleys of Tyrol to tourism. Would you like to listen to my ideas?”

- born in Vienna of Greek ancestry
- pioneer of tourism in Tyrol/South Tyrol
- 1884 becomes a lawyer in Meran
- 1890 founds the “Association for Alpine Hotels”
- 1905 elected to the Tyrolean Parliament
