The Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle in Merano

The Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle cover an area of 12 hectares and extend over an altitude difference of 100 metres.

This offers a stunning view of the 80 different garden landscapes, of the city of Merano/Meran and of the surrounding mountain ranges. The gently meandering paths through the garden offer visitors the opportunity to explore four garden worlds home to plants from all over the world, across sunny terraces and past gurgling stream waters.

Multifaceted experience stations, spectacular themed gardens, artist pavilions and intriguing animals turn the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle – within easy walking distance from Merano – into a colorful world where visitors enjoy a variety of The Touriseum, South Tyrol’s Province Museum of Tourism, covers 250 years of tourism history in Tyrol and Merano in a very engaging way different experiences.
