In honour of Empress Elisabeth and to mark the anniversary of her first journey to Merano on 16 October 1870, the Touriseum is organising a fun-filled day for the whole family!
Program
The dancers of Società di danza – Circolo Valsugana are waiting for you at Trauttmansdorff Castle and will bring the atmosphere of a courtly ball back to life! In the magnificent Deuster Hall, they will perform 19th-century dances in historical costumes. Waltzes, quadrilles, contredanses, mazurkas, polkas and Scottish country dances will transport you into the world of courtly society. Everyone is invited to enjoy the performances and take souvenir photos with the ball guests!
Puzzle Adventure – In the Footsteps of Sissi’s Diary
Take up the challenge and get to know the Empress better! Solve riddles and tricky tasks hidden throughout the historic rooms of the castle. Participation is free of charge (admission to the botanical gardens is required), subject to availability.

Treasure Hunt at Trauttmansdorff Castle
Our educator is waiting for all children aged 3 to 6 and their parents in the castle courtyard. During a fun treasure hunt, the little ones will discover the castle and its secrets.

Participation is free (tickets to the botanical gardens is required), while supplies last. Please arrive at the Touriseum reception at least 10 minutes before the start. The game materials will be provided free of charge.
