The soft light of evening reveals new facets of the Gardens on Friday nights during the Trauttmansdorff After Hours event series. Your garden guide will base your tour on the season, highlighting intensely aromatic plants, dazzling blooms, or perhaps the Forbidden Garden. Whether your favorite is the exotic lotus flower, the rose, or the hydrangea, you'll learn many intriguing things about plants.

The charming presentation is a proven alternative to the traditional model of guided tours and offers a lot of benefits to the visitors. The group will enjoy a welcome drink in our most prestigious hall. Our mediator will guide the group trough an entertaining presentation illustrating the history of tourism and bringing life to the history of the castle.
Following the presentation the group will be accompanied to the parcour where they can visit the exhibition independently.

The sun-kissed southwestern slope of the Gardens, burgeoning with sweetly-scented dwarf shrubs and other native Mediterranean flora, brings to mind the unique vista of southern climes. Cork and holm oaks evoke visions of the classic terrain of the Mediterranean region, and come together with the strawberry tree, the mock privet and the evergreen viburnum to form a landscape reminiscent of the Macchia shrublands.
In Italy's northernmost olive grove, pines, cypresses and age-old cultivated plants including pomegranate, mulberry and fig trees, capers, lavender and citrus trees fill the air with that unmistakeable holiday feeling.
